This is really a fair likeness of Coast Guard Cutter Mallow, WAGL 396.  I was stationed on her for 3.5 years in Astoria, OR.  It is a 180 ft buoy tender.

I was station on one of the same class in about 1970 for a year and a half in Duluth, MN, the Woodrush.  Two winters.  That’s where I learned what winter was.
