Greetings All Presidents and Point of Contacts!
Here's hoping that all of you had a Heart Full and Safe Holiday Season.
Just a message to pass some Information on to you that I believe is Important, please pass the word to your troops and at your monthly meetings.
Recently I've been getting many phone calls and e-mails asking about our National Office donating Financial Funds for various Chapter Functions, Events, Surprise Parties etc. Our Budget doesn't have a line Item for these different Chapter Functions, the chapters need to rely on there own funds and putting on benefits and or asking for help through the other Members and Chapters. Maybe if we have the funds the new BOD can look into setting up a line item for this type of help?
Section VI, National Funds, 2.a Page 14 "Emergency Relief Fund" in our Operations Manual explains how these funds are distributed (See Below)
Emergency Relief Fund. Established to provide assistance to members of USCG families in distress. Requests for assistance will be in writing to any member of the Board of Directors, if time permits. Otherwise, a phone call to any member of the Board with a follow-up letter will suffice.
(1) The National President may distribute funds up to $1,000. Amounts over $1,000 must be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. The Board of Directors will determine if assistance is needed and if the request will be approved.
Below is a special Election Notice, Please screen your members and find out if they are one of those 120 or 2000 members and if they are, contact the National Office. Please relay to them that their SSN is well protected with the CPOA.

A letter was sent out by the National President to the 120 members that haven’t got their SSN in the National Office. If you receive one of these letters, please respond.
I enclosed a Flyer from the Golden Gate Chapter (a region 3 chapter) asking for Financial Aid in sponsoring a D 11 Region EPOY Recognition Dinner, They particular asked to pass the word to the other three Chapters in the California Area i.e. Long Beach, Petaluma and Redwood Empire but I thought that there are others out there in Region Three that would want to help out with their EPOY Project.
