HSCM Tyrone Anderson

Nomination of HSCM Tyrone C. Anderson Jr.

National President USCG Chief Petty Officer Association

Greetings fellow Chiefs,

Six years ago, I asked for your nomination for Region 3 Advisor and have had the pleasure to serve in this organization as such in addition to being the National Vice President. Today I am asking to serve as your National President. In the last six years, the National Board has made some significant achievements and I would like to continue to work on this effort as your National President. I am confident we can continue to improve the CPOA in the following manner:

  1. Ensuring the continued seamless communication between the National Board of Directors and our Associations through the use of electronic and hard copy of The Chief magazine, our CPOA newsletter, conference calls to our Chapter Presidents and use of other electronic media (Facebook).
  2. Overseeing the Association’s budget and financial affairs and ensure our accounting processes and procedures are sound.
  3. Working on partnerships with other foundations and associations in helping our Coast Guard families.

We are currently moving in a very positive direction and our Association’s Board of Directors reflects the diversity of the CPOA as a whole. If given the opportunity to serve as your President, I will continue to strive to improve our organization by linking our new chiefs with our retired ones ensuring this organization stays true to our motto: ‘In respect for those who have gone before us, and as a guide for those who follow’. I am a Silver lifetime member and have served as President of the Hampton Roads and New Orleans Chapters and am completely invested in our Association.

Serving as your National Vice President during the last three years has been an honor, and I ask for your vote so that I may continue to serve the CPOA.
